Her musical journey began at the tender age of 5, inspired by her beloved mother, when she started learning music.

Under the guidance of renowned Ustaad Akhtar Sadmani and Ful Mohammad, she honed her skills in classical music. However, it was her association with Ustaad Zakir Hossain that sparked her love for ghazals. Shirin's dedication and hard work paid off as she became proficient in this beautiful art form.

Not content with just mastering ghazals, Shirin sought to expand her musical horizons. She pursued certification as a Nazrul Geeti singer under the tutelage of Shudhin Das. This certification from the prestigious Nazrul Academy further solidified her position as a versatile and accomplished artist.Shirin's musical journey did not stop there. She continued her musical education under the guidance of Janab Biplob Dey and Janab Faisal Ahmed, further refining her skills and broadening her musical palette. 

Currently, Shirin is a disciple of Guru Kinner Seen, carrying on the rich tradition of Indian classical music in the Gwalior Gharana.
